General Info

If you’re exploring great dining spots in White Plains, Tepe’S Kitchen is one of those places that quietly wins you over the moment you step inside. This Mexican restaurant blends a relaxed atmosphere with a menu that feels both comforting and satisfying, making it easy to settle in whether you’re stopping by for a quick breakfast or a laid-back meal later in the day.

The first thing I noticed was how approachable everything felt. The space is simple yet welcoming, and the wheelchair accessible seating makes it easy for everyone to enjoy the experience without hassle. It’s the kind of spot where you don’t feel rushed, and that really adds to the overall vibe. Plus, having clean restroom facilities on-site just adds to the convenience, especially if you’re dining in with friends or family.

Now, let’s talk about the menu. Tepe’S Kitchen leans into classic comfort food with a Mexican twist. The dishes are hearty, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Breakfast here is a standout-you can expect filling options that give you a strong start to your day without feeling overly heavy. Whether you’re craving something savory or just want a satisfying plate to pair with your morning coffee, the offerings hit the mark.

One thing that really stood out during my visit was how consistent the flavors were. Nothing felt overcomplicated, yet every bite delivered that familiar, comforting taste you’d hope for from a neighborhood diner-style restaurant. It’s the kind of place where regulars probably have their go-to orders, and after one visit, you’ll likely have yours too.

If you’re not in the mood to dine in, their delivery service makes it easy to enjoy the same quality food at home. That flexibility is a big plus, especially on busy days when heading out isn’t an option. From what I experienced, the food travels well, keeping its flavor and freshness intact.

Looking at reviews and overall impressions, Tepe’S Kitchen feels like a reliable choice rather than a flashy one-and that’s exactly its strength. It focuses on doing the basics right: good food, comfortable seating, and a welcoming environment. Whether you’re exploring new locations in White Plains or just searching for a dependable Mexican restaurant, this spot fits naturally into your rotation.

What customers say?

“ Top 10 places to dine at in white plains!! Amazing chilaquiles and they’re actually just the right spice, although I wish they were a bit spicier but that’s just my preference. The kindest staff and amazing ambiance, I wasn’t rushed or anything and I enjoyed my food as I watched my show with my air buds on which I appreciated greatly. Very welcoming, economical and locally owned so I will definitely be coming again ”

“ This place SHOULD BE BUSY 24/7. The atmosphere they got Mexican music, Mexican decoration, and you could just feel the pride of Mexico here. The food comes quickly. The workers are nice and speak Spanish/English! They even have connect 4 to play while you wait. The price is definitely fair even in this day of age with inflation. ”

“ Friendly staff with really good food! I got the mole and it was not only plentiful but also delicious. I definitely understand why they won an award for it and you should stop in and find out for yourself. The chicken soup that came with it was also very good. They had tres leches that I couldn't resist but it was underwhelming so feel free to skip dessert. ”

“ My wife and I were told by a friend to come by and it did not disappoint! The lime fries are something we have never had and we needed some to take home! I had the Jibarito sandwich, the steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly and the creamy savory sauces took it to a whole different level. My wife had the lime wings which were cooked so crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. And the horchata…..wow a different flavor than I’m used to but very pleasantly surprised. We are definitely coming back!!! Also so much fun playing connect four while we waited for our food ”

“ We visited yesterday first time. I was surprised to learn that Tepes is been open for 5 years. We have mexican sandwiches pulled pork and steak. Very yummy! We had pancakes courtesy of the house, much appreciated! We would definitely be back. ”

“ A bright ,vibrant and clean place . They are courteous and the food is really good. I came back just for the short rib taco and it was generously portioned and delicious and a beautiful presentation . My only complaint is that the spice and heat of the first time I ordered it were not present. And I really loved that. Gracias Tepe's ! ”

“ I really love this spot. The staff is kind and serviceful, and the food is always fresh. Their guacamole is so tasty, with many fresh veggies. The tacos are well-prepared, the chicken and steak are always seasoned to perfection. My favorite is their homemade horchata. There are several tables where one can sit and enjoy the meal, family-friendly environment with Mexican decor. This is real authentic mexican food, and I’m obsessed. ”
